Meet Kay DeMooy

From a young age, Kay has enjoyed making things with her hands and exploring new creative outlets- from sewing and knitting to pottery and paper maché. It wasn’t until her goddaughter suggested visiting a bead store that she developed passion for a specific medium. Kay has been making unique jewelry for over 20 years. She currently enjoys weaving glass beads into geometric shapes and patterns the most, intrigued by color and luminosity in Native American and African stitches.

Each bead is intentionally selected and woven into a pattern which evolves into a unique piece of jewelry.

For a change of pace, Kay continues to explore working with sterling silver wire, chain and semi-precious stones to make contemporary designs.
